IWC Schaffhausen New Portuguese Collection

On the 19th January 2010 IWC Schaffhausen celebrated the relaunch of its Portuguese collection at the SIHH in Geneva.

More than 600 guests attended the cocktail reception at the Espace Secheron. The central theme of the evening was both nautical and navigational, with various experts on hand introducing principles of meteorology, significance of the sextant, cartography, longitude and latitude.

"The Spirit of Navigation", a short film produced for the relaunch of the Portuguese collection, was premiered during the evening. With Jean Reno and directed by Didier Flammand, the film took viewers through the history and art of navigation, which originated 6000 years ago.
