The IKEA Home Project

To celebrate the 30th birthday of the IKEA KLIPPAN sofa, IKEA invited 30 Australian artists and designers to create a series of functional designs, with the Klippan as their canvas.

The theme of the project is 'The importance of home', inspired from IKEA's support in rebuilding homes affected by the Victorian bushfires. Each piece will be exhibited and auctioned, with all money raised to be given as a cash donation.

The pieces will be exhibited at Carriageworks (Wilson St Eveleigh NSW 2015) from Wednesday July 29th to 4th August 2009 (Mon-Fri245 10am-5pm; Sat 9am-1pm). The online auction will go from 29th July to 4th August 2009 at www.graysonline.com
