Distill Magazine

Launched in October 2008, "Distill" magazine is a bi-monthly compilation of inspirational fashion and style, selected from magazines around the world.

The content for each issue is decided by a board of creatives from a range of disciplines - architects, filmmakers, product and industrial designers, academics.

Distill includes sections on Menswear, Womenswear, Visual Arts, Streetwear and Accessories.

Contributors to the launch issue include British Designers Giles Deacon and Matthew Williamson, Stephen Gan(founder of Visionaire) and Juliet Warkentin(director of content for Worth Global Style Network(WGSN))

As well as the fashion and art photography and commentary on each article, Distill will keep you up to date with exhibitions, shows, trends, book reviews, critiques of events.

Infusion D'Homme Short Movie Project

Nine up-and-coming directors from around the world were commissioned to create a series of short films, as part of Prada's launch of their new Infusion D'Homme perfume. The directors were simply asked to "challenge the idea of a perfume for man; to produce visionary content".

The list of short movies and their directors are: Work in Progress (Juan Ingazio Aluz, Argentina), Evolution(Guga, Brazil), The Jump (Nelson Navarro, Cuba), To Myself (Cryril Guyot, France), Mesmerizing (Haresh Sharma & Girjesh Choudhary, India), La Scia (Edoardo Lugari, Italy), Ping Pong. Paul & Mary (Hyuk-Jae Kwon,Korea), Spring Rain (Beng, Spain) and Syncratic (Michael Merryman, USA)

Pietro Scalia, two-time Oscar winning film editor has edited the 9 films to create a single vision for the Infusion D'Homme perfume.

Marly Market at the Marlborough Hotel

The Marlborough Hotel Newtown held the Marly Markets on Sunday 14th December 2008. The stalls were all located on the first floor, also extending out to the balcony. The market included a range of designer t-shirts, jewellery and vintage clothing.

Box Magazine 5th Anniversary Issue

Box Magazine is a luxury lifestyle magazine produced in Australia. The Spring 08 edition is Box Magazine's 5th Anniversary Issue.

Each issue showcases luxury fashion, food, design, the latest in art, music and film, and more.

The Spring 08 edition has showcased luxury brands like Dom Pérignon, Louis Vuitton, Pal Zileri, Chanel, Rolls Royce, and features the likes of Penelope Cruz, James McAvoy and Steven Berkoff.

Box Magazine also a supporter of Toybox International, a charity that raises funds for children with special needs.

The Box Magazine idea began in 2003 with Troy Barbagallo who wanted to create a luxury lifestyle magazine also supported Australian's children's charities. The venture has grown into a 240 page magazine produced in a distinctive square format.

"M" Photo Studio Launches at Establishment

Brand 'M' is a new Australian sparkling wine brand, offering fruit driven sparkling and sparkling Rosé wine.

'M' have set up a photo studio at Establishment (252 George Street, Sydney), in the spirit of the Newton Photo Studio, created by legendary photographer Helmut Newton in the 1970's.

The M team provides a range of modern vintage fashions and Mimco accessories for your photo session. Also assisting is a Napoleon Perdis makeup artist.

Graduating student Tegan Brideson of the UTS fashion program was the first person to use the M Photo Studio, styling Alyce and Rebecca from Australia's Next Top Model.
