Crumpler - Design Your Own Bag

Crumpler at 305 King Street Newtown now offer a Custom Bag service - at an additional cost, customers can come up with a personal design to be stitched onto the front flap of a new Crumpler bag. You choose a bag from a select range of models and provide your front flap design for it. The design is created on the front flap, made from Crumpler's range of panel materials and/or stitching. Crumpler also offer a set of paper templates to help you create your design.

The custom bag service has been on offer for a while at Crumpler at the Fitzroy store in Melbourne, at 87 Smith Street.

The concept behind .Cent Magazine: to invite a notable creative or creative duo to be the editor(s) and to base the theme of the issue on one of their core beliefs. The guest editors then invite others to contribute an interpretation of the theme. In the final step, readers are invited to make suggestions for the following issue. This concept has been named Circlical© Publishing™

Issue 10 of .Cent Magazine is the Basso and Brooke Issue(Cover pictured above - Miss Huxley print, Basso and Brooke S/S 08). The theme of Issue 10 is 'Ornament'.

Contributors include Christian Lacroix, Paul Smith, Jessica Craig-Martin, Graeme Montgomery and Martin Parr.

Bruno Basso(Brazilian, designer) and Chris Brooke(English, illustrator) met in 2002, and in 2004 won the London Fashion Fringe award with a collection with classic looking print styles - which on close inspection reveal 'an orgiastic carnival of sexual liberation and allegories of power'. Basso and Brooke's SS08 collection uses vivid coloured prints on beautiful, modern, classy dresses and jackets. When presenting the collection, models would also wear 'Palette' hats from Stephen Jones Millinery.

Fashion Weekend Sydney 2008

Presented by Shop Til You Drop, Sydney Fashion Weekend will put the collections of over 70 Australian fashion designers on sale at reduced prices. 720124

Sydney Fashion Weekend will run from 9-11 May 2008 at the Royal Hall of Industries, Moore Park in Sydney.

Labels include: Alex Perry, Antipodium, Bec and Bridge, Jayson Brundson, Kate Hurst, Milk and Honey, One Teaspoon and The Cassette Society.

Featured alongside the designer shopping will be the Canon IXUS catwalk(pieces from the upcoming season), ModelCo. beauty makeovers, beauty advice from the likes of Dermalogica and Vidal Sassoon, The Nail Bar, TONI & GUY Blow Dry Bar and more.

The Fashion Weekend concept started in London eight years ago, and is run by the same group who organize London Fashion Week.
